It was initially supposed to release on March 20, 2020. But due to complications caused by the coronavirus, the movie was postponed indefinitely only a week before its initial release.

John Krasinski, the movie’s director and star of the first film, made this decision so that everyone would have the chance to see it together when the corona pandemic passed, or at least, subsided.
Now, however, Paramount Pictures has announced a new release date for the film, stating that fans will be able to see the movie in theaters come September 4, 2020. It’s unlikely that the movie’s release date will change again, but it all depends on how the COVID-19 situation plays out.
In the meantime, John Krasinski has a new YouTube channel called SomeGoodNews that fans can follow while they wait out the coronavirus and for A Quiet Place: Part 2 to drop. Fans of The Office will find it especially interesting as the first episode sees Krasinski discussing things with Steve Carell.
A Quiet Place: Part 2 will tiptoe into theaters on September 4, 2020.
